A proxy list that is actually alive

Most free proxy lists are scraped once and published as is, so half of the addresses are dead by the time you copy them. FreeProxyHub works differently. We collect public proxies from hundreds of sources and then test every address ourselves, around the clock. A proxy appears here only after a real request has passed through it to our judge server, and it disappears as soon as it stops answering.

What we measure for every proxy

  • Protocol — HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 or SOCKS5, detected by an actual handshake rather than by the port number.
  • Anonymity — our judge sees exactly which headers reach the destination. If your IP leaks in X-Forwarded-For or Via, the proxy is marked transparent; if it only reveals itself as a proxy, it is anonymous; if the request looks like it came from a regular browser, it is elite.
  • Speed — the full round trip of a test request, in milliseconds.
  • Country — the location of the exit IP, which is often different from the address you connect to.
  • Last check — how many seconds ago the proxy last answered.

How to use the list

Filter the table by protocol, anonymity or country, then copy the result or download it as TXT, JSON or CSV. For scripts, use the free API: one GET request returns a fresh list in the format you need. Data refreshes every 30 seconds.

Free proxies: know the limits

Public proxies are shared with strangers, can be slow and may vanish at any moment. They are great for testing, scraping public pages and checking geo-restricted content, but never send passwords or payment data through a proxy you do not control. For stable work, use private proxies.

Yes. The list, downloads and API are free and need no registration. The proxies themselves are public servers that we find and test; we do not own them.

Every working proxy is re-checked roughly once a minute, and the page pulls fresh data every 30 seconds. A proxy that fails is removed from the list right away.

A transparent proxy passes your real IP to the website. An anonymous proxy hides your IP but adds headers that reveal a proxy is used. An elite proxy hides both. We determine the level by inspecting what actually reaches our judge server.

SOCKS5 works with any TCP traffic and is the most universal choice. HTTP proxies are enough for browsers and most scraping tools. Pick elite proxies if the target site must not know a proxy is involved.

Use them only for non-sensitive tasks. The owner of a public proxy can see unencrypted traffic, so always use HTTPS websites and never log in to important accounts through a free proxy.
